  • Academics push euthanasia as a money-saver: Scottish academics argue in a new report that assisted suicide would be good financially for the NHS. Read more here.
  • 13-year-old ‘brainwashed’ into transgenderism at school: Parents of a teenager from Surrey have expressed outrage after their daughter was ‘radicalised’ in mentoring meetings with the head of the school’s LGBTQ+ group, without their knowledge. Read more here.
  • MPs protest UK financing of Palestinian incitement: A number of MPs have called on the EU to release a long-awaited report on the Palestinian curriculum, used in schools which the UK helps to finance. Palestinian schools infamously glorify terrorism and indoctrinate children with hatred of Jews. Read more here.

  • New Zealand decriminalises abortion: The new law ushers in one of the most extreme abortion regimes in the world. Read more here. Also this week, pro-life bills have passed or proceeded to their final stages in Oklahoma, Mississippi and Wyoming.
  • Locusts to cover 20% of the world? The UN is warning of severe food shortages across Africa and the Middle East later this summer, as an ‘unprecedented’ swarm of locusts breeds in the Horn of Africa. Read more here.
  • 11,500 Nigerian believers killed since 2015, not 6,000: A civil society group says that the number of Christians killed by radical Muslims in the country’s ongoing genocide is nearly double previous estimates. Read more here.
  • Biden crushes Sanders in Florida: Joe Biden has cemented his clear lead over Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic Party nomination, winning Florida’s primary by a landslide and also claiming victory in Arizona and Illinois. Read more here and here.
  • Putin may rule until 2036: Russia’s Constitutional Court has approved constitutional amendments that would allow the President to remain in power for another 16 years. Read more here. A nationwide vote on the amendments will proceed despite the spread of coronavirus. Read more here.
  • Former terrorist leads Indonesian underground church: The man had planned to blow up a church but came to the Lord through visons, miracles and the Word. The movement he leads now has over 7,000 members, mostly converts from Islam. Read more here.

  • Israel in political crisis: A shut-down of the Knesset by the Speaker and controversial COVID-19 response measures from Netanyahu’s interim government are causing many to protest a perceived clamp-down on democracy. Read more here and here.
