The Issachar Ministries team (including the editorial staff of Prophecy Today) has spent three days together, with prayer and fasting, to seek to understand the situation facing the nations today, especially in light of the ongoing Covid 19 plague as part of the great shaking of the nations.

As one outcome of our deliberations, we are issuing a statement in regard to vaccination:

For adults, we see vaccination as entirely an individual choice. We urge each of our readers to make their own decision about current or future vaccination after spreading it before the Lord in prayer and seeking to be as well informed as possible. As Romans 14:5 says, “Only let every man be convinced in his own mind”.

However, we wish to express our significant concerns over the vaccination of children for Covid 19 – in particular, the overriding of parental consent. The family was instituted by God from the very beginning, and – as is recognised in our law – parents are in the best position to make decisions on behalf of their children. Undermining this by allowing children to override their parents’ decisions goes against the instruction in the Bible in Ephesians 6:1 – “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.”

We are also concerned, however, that whilst the benefits of vaccination have been promoted across all mainstream media channels, the risks, which are not insignificant, have been downplayed, and little explained, which has hindered true informed consent, which is a right enshrined in law regarding medical procedures.
