Paul Luckraft reviews 'The Omega Programme' by Neil Turner
In the past we have reviewed two books by Neil Turner. One is ‘How to Enjoy the Psalms’ the other is ‘End-Time Survivor’. The latter was published in 2013 and was followed soon after by the launch of the Omega Programme, a series of ten modules aimed at preparing believers for what is to come as the end of this age draws nearer and Jesus returns.
We can now report that the Omega Programme has been significantly updated and expanded in the light of current events. The main thrust remains the same, as does the theology and biblical teaching behind it. There are now 25 modules, with some topics having been split to allow more specific training. These include how to be a watchman, and how to understand the media.
Each video is extensively researched and produced to a professional standard. The videos are then uploaded onto the BibleSense YouTube channel at the rate of approximately one per month. So this is a work-in-progress and will take some time to complete. Nevertheless, the first few are already available.
Here are some links. The best starting point remains the Omega Programme website where there is a short (15 minute) video. You can also click on the BibleSense logo on the front page which takes you to the whole collection of video material, not just the recent Omega update. Alternatively you can access the first few videos using the following YouTube links: Omega Programme Preview: GateWay Module Part 1 & Part 2
The Omega Programme is designed to activate and empower believers for service in these times. Neil describes it as being the equivalent of a ‘military boot camp’ to get believers energised for action.
If you subscribe now you will be automatically notified as each film goes up. All this is free of charge, and Neil is also offering a free Kindle copy of ‘End-Time Survivor’ to any believer who lives in one of Open Door’s Top 50 Watch list countries.

Charles Gardner reviews the new short video ‘Blindspot: Where has the Church REALLY messed up?’ by Saltshakers Web community
A hugely helpful new resource for opening eyes to a crucial issue for Christians comes in the form of a 20-minute YouTube video produced by prolific author Steve Maltz.
'Blindspot: Where has the Church REALLY messed up?' is a challenging and thought-provoking film in which two young actors explore the message of the Bible in general, and of God’s eternal purpose for Israel in particular.
And they come up with a conclusion that will no doubt be a profound shock to many in view of the bit-part (if that) played by Israel in most churches these days, not to mention the role the Church has played in Israel’s persecution, particularly the Holocaust.
Quite apart from being ideal to share with friends over social media, it’s also a helpful aid for home groups to kick off a bigger discussion around this vital topic.
But I do think the pace needs picking up, and that it’s perhaps five minutes too long. The Wheels on the Bus ‘lecture’, for example, could have been snappier. But the overall narrative is otherwise engaging and flows well, though I felt the pauses were also a tad too long.
Resources Editor Paul Luckraft adds: “It is good, very worthwhile and tackles an important theme. I do believe Steve has been inspired. My only issue is that the audio is a bit weak in places, during the drama bits. But its message is vital, and it’s been checked over and praised by quite a few people already.”
Author Dr Fred Wright said: “I was very impressed with it. I think it’s a great resource to reach younger people.”
Blindspot was written by Steve Maltz, Jon Maltz and Chris Poch. Check out Saltshakers Web community and watch the video here
